ABOUT OFFSET PRINTING

Pre-press refers to the design process as far as print process. The entire process includes preparing design files, transforms the data onto a printing plate and image adjustments. These adjustments include color separation, transparency flattening, trapping and color management to deliver a high-quality prints. As soon as the design is approved, we will digitally transfer the files to the printing plate using Computer to Plate (CTP) machine technology. The pre-press is fully digital that enable to fast and on time file transmission, provides accurate colour with clean and sharp images at high resolution. If you need a design consultation, our creative team is ready to assist with suggestions on design adjustment to printouts.

The next process is the Press, which is a two-step process where a sheets of paper are fed through the press while the cylinder transfers the ink pass over the plate and then it is printed on paper, this is process is also known as offset printing. Our offset machine adjust the ink density to get the best results with the capabilities of full-color printing, two-color printing and spot color printing. The most important quality control checkpoints at this process is checking parent sheets as they’re coming off of the press. A team of press operators and quality control specialists confirm color accuracy, making sure that high-quality is consistent throughout the entire print run and colour aren’t drifting away from where it should be.

Post-press is the finishing touch that makes packaging printing even more special and impressive. The finishing includes special coating, emboss, soft touch, die cut, spot uv. This process not only provides a unique effect, but also provides protection. Waterbase provides a thick layer as a protective high resistance to friction. Drip-off produces a textured look to the matte areas and glossy on uncoated areas, Emboss pressing images onto paper to create a 3D effect, Soft Touch provides a soft coating for an artistic and luxurious impression, Die cutting allows to create custom shapes, windows and borders, Spot UV enhances the appearance with a matte or glossy UV coating on certain areas.

Development of the offset press came in two versions: In 1875 by Robert Barclay of England for printing on tin, and in 1903 by Ira Washington Rubel of the United States for printing on paper.
